THE CHALLENGE

The year before TurboTax owned easy with the “It Doesn’t Take A Genius” campaign. Now Turbotax was up against doubters and nay sayers. These were simple filers who think their taxes are too complex for TurboTax.

We also knew the tone should be lighthearted and humorous to undermine the seriousness of the tax category.

THE STRATEGY

To these simpler filers who think they’re complex, easy communicated cutting corners, while ‘help’ communicates support and expertise. We needed to show that behind every easy interaction with TurboTax are tons of tax experts, engineers, and designers helping you through the process. Turbotax is easy but it also has every feature you need.

Our message to the doubters was clear. TurboTax has your back.
