BACKGROUND

It took me four years and an endless stream of excuses to finally book my first solo trip to Australia. Then, I was hooked.

When I shared my experience and encouraged other girlfriends to go, most were like "Uh, no. You're crazy." They had all the same reasons to not do it. Fear of being attacked, kidnapped, robbed and scared of being lonely. That’s the moment this idea was born.

A couple years later, the brand launched. The travel coaching services prepared & educated girls, while the blog featured everyday girls of all ages, races, ethnicities, nationalities traveling solo.

Strategy

Traveling alone is liberating because it is difficult and scary. You must work through every challenge that comes your way. There no other choice. When you do, you feel proud, independent, and confident.

Some female bloggers tapped into empowerment but didn’t have services to help women take action. Travel brands were super cliche, outdated, not inclusive and very girly. Then there was the fashion travel instagram people. Eye roll.

No one was showing the benefit of solo travel on all other areas of your life. The badass feeling you get from going; the confidence and courage you apply to your life afterwards.
